The authorities noted that this decision is a response to "recent threats of terrorist attacks on the military facilities of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina."

The Ministry emphasised that "particular attention is being paid to the possibility of using unmanned aerial vehicles in such attacks," reminding the public that "flights of drones over military facilities are legally prohibited."

Additionally, the Ministry pointed out that "recently, an increased presence of drones has been noticed over the military facilities of the Armed Forces of BiH, further endangering their security."

The Ministry of Defence emphasised that it remains in constant contact with law enforcement agencies and international partners, including the EUFOR mission and NATO headquarters in Sarajevo.

Earlier, at the beginning of October this year, the Bosnian and Herzegovinian military increased its state of readiness following reports of bomb threats.
