As reported by the "Daily Mail," the British teenager, Bella May Culley, could spend the rest of her life in prison in Georgia for drug smuggling. She was detained at Tbilisi airport with 31 pounds of marijuana. Her lawyer, La Todua, revealed that she was deeply shocked upon learning of the charges.

Bella was detained after arriving from Thailand. In her luggage, 26 pounds of marijuana and 4 pounds of hashish were discovered.

"When I explained to her that what she was accused of was an especially severe crime then she was concerned and visibly shaken," said the family's lawyer Todua to the "Daily Mail."

Bella's family, including her father Niel and aunt Kerrie, arrived in Tbilisi to see her. However, their attempts to visit Bella in prison were unsuccessful due to a lack of proper documentation.

Bella's grandfather, William Culley, emphasized the importance of seeing her as soon as possible.

Before her arrest, Bella was travelling around Asia, where she met a mysterious man. The family fears she may have been exploited by drug traffickers.

If Bella is convicted, she faces at least 15 years in prison, and possibly life imprisonment. Her lawyer emphasises that cooperating with the authorities could mitigate the sentence. Bella claims she is pregnant, which might influence the court's decision.
