Crunchy biscuits with a twist: A holiday delight to savour
Although gingerbread biscuits are most commonly associated with the holidays, these delicious, crunchy biscuits are a close second. They are perfectly buttery, soft, and so tasty that it's hard to stop at just one.
Baking biscuits together is a wonderful activity for the whole family. If you melt your favourite milk and white chocolate and take some colourful sprinkles from the cupboard, you’ll have all you need for sweet happiness. Delicious, crunchy biscuits taste even better than gingerbread, and there’s no need to wait for them to soften.
Crunchy biscuits with chocolate glaze
Are you looking for something new for the holiday table, or maybe you just want to diversify your sweet bakes? Crunchy biscuits with chocolate glaze fit the bill perfectly. They are not only delicious and sweet but also very easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 500 grams of plain flour,
- 4 tablespoons of icing sugar,
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla sugar,
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder,
- 200 grams of butter,
- 2 egg yolks,
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream,
- 2 bars of milk chocolate,
- 1 bar of white chocolate,
- Sprinkles and nuts for decoration.
Instructions:
- Sift the flour, baking powder, and sugars into a bowl and mix.
- Grate the cold butter and start kneading.
- Add the egg yolks and sour cream, and combine into a smooth dough.
- Form a ball, wrap it in cling film, and place it in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into two parts. Roll each out and cut out cookies. If the dough is sticky, you can lightly sprinkle it with flour.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 12 minutes.
- Set aside to cool.
- Decorate the biscuits by dipping them in chocolate melted in a double boiler, and add sprinkles and nuts.
Now, just wait a moment for the chocolate to harden, and you can start eating. These biscuits certainly won't last until the holidays—they are so tasty that they disappear right off the plate. Enjoy!
