In the Ghagra municipality, another tragedy occurred. A pedestrian seeking shelter from the storm was killed when strong winds overturned the tree under which he took cover. In the same region, another resident died after a branch fell on his head.

What is the forecast for the coming days?

Bangladesh's meteorological office warns of a heatwave that has been persisting over the western and central parts of the country for several days. In the city of Chuadanga, thermometers showed 41°C. Forecasters predict that the hot weather may persist for several days, posing an additional risk to residents.
