Although French-style scrambled eggs slightly differ in ingredients from the traditional version, they are entirely different in texture. The main difference lies in the cooking process. When done correctly, they possess a creamy and delicate taste that melts in your mouth. Here's how to make them.

What are French-style scrambled eggs?

French-style scrambled eggs are an excellent breakfast option, offering an alternative to the classic version. The well-known version has a thicker consistency, while the French style is distinguished by an incredibly soft, almost runny texture. Although French cuisine is often associated with elaborate and complicated dishes, preparing this breakfast is simple.

The trick lies in properly combining the eggs with butter and adding them at the right time. This is what gives them their unique flavour. Preparation takes just a few minutes, and the results can be surprising.

How to make French-style scrambled eggs?

You'll need the same ingredients as usual. The basics are eggs, butter, pepper, and salt.

1. First, separate the whites from the yolks, then whisk the whites with a fork.

2. Melt half the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Then pour in the egg whites and cook them, stirring until they start to slightly stick to the edges of the pan. Then mix them and scrape the edges.

3. Now add the whisked yolks and mix everything until the eggs start to slightly set.

4. Remove the pan from the heat and mix the eggs with a piece of butter, then season them with salt and pepper.

5. For additional flavour, it's worth adding chopped parsley or chives on top, and it's ready.
