Elevate your Easter spread with a spicy sriracha mayo twist
The upcoming Easter is once again sparking discussions about mayonnaise, a staple in our holiday dishes. Recently, I've been enhancing this condiment with an exotic sauce, and the result has won over my loved ones.
As Easter approaches, debates about mayonnaise inevitably arise. We discuss which brand is best, search for homemade recipes, and question its nutritional benefits. One thing is for sure – it is quite versatile, with its smooth, delicate taste appealing to most people. However, for me, it tends to be a bit... dull. So, when I have mayonnaise in the fridge, I spice it up with sriracha sauce from Thailand. This creates a spicy, creamy mixture that enhances the flavour of any dish.
Sriracha mayonnaise recipe
Sriracha mayonnaise is an excellent addition to chips, burgers, wraps, casseroles, and more. It even works well with spicy Easter eggs. Sriracha sauce is widely available in most supermarkets, so finding it shouldn't be an issue. In the recipe, I also use one clove of garlic, although it's optional. You can opt for lemon juice instead of lime juice. It's crucial to adjust the ingredients and their proportions according to your taste preferences.
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
- 2 tablespoons of sriracha sauce,
- 1 clove of garlic,
- 1 teaspoon of lime juice,
- a pinch of salt.
Preparation:
- In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the sriracha.
- Add the pressed garlic and lime juice.
- Season with a pinch of salt and mix thoroughly.
