An incident occurred on Friday evening in Istanbul, where unknown individuals fired shots at the Iraqi consulate building. According to the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the attack resulted in no casualties or material damage. This information was confirmed by the Turkish side as well.

According to Reuters, the attackers were riding a motorcycle and fired eight shots towards the consulate. The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the perpetrators used AK-47 automatic rifles.
