Kherson targeted by Russian forces. Regional offices destroyed

On Thursday, Russian forces destroyed the headquarters of the regional state administration in Kherson, southern Ukraine. Photographs released by local authorities show that the main section of the building was completely demolished in the attack.

On Thursday, Russian troops struck the headquarters of the Kherson Regional State Administration. Images released by local authorities show the central structure of the building completely reduced to rubble.

The head of Kherson’s regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported that Russian forces had destroyed the building housing the Kherson Regional State Administration. Authorities are currently working to confirm information regarding potential casualties.

Photos posted on Telegram by the chairman of the regional administration show that the central part of the building has been completely destroyed. The right and left wings are also destroyed, but most of them have been preserved.

The administration is located on the main square of Kherson, where in November 2022, residents celebrated the liberation of the city from Russian occupation.

A few hours earlier, local authorities reported that the Russian army had dropped four guided bombs on the center of Kherson. As a result of this attack, at least five residential buildings, an administrative building, and a building of an educational institution were damaged.
