Many pieces of information provided by Russian and Belarusian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the Russian Federation's information war.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Minsk is the preferred place for talks about Ukraine. In a discussion with TASS, he argued that Belarus, Russia's main ally, is the ideal venue for negotiations.

"Belarus is our main ally; therefore, it is the best location for us for negotiations," said Peskov, as reported by the TASS agency.

Previously, Alexander Lukashenko proposed arranging a meeting of Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Minsk. "Come here. We'll sit down and calmly, without fuss, reach an agreement," Lukashenko stated, as cited by the BelTA agency.

Lukashenko allegedly claimed that Washington and Moscow can be partners in global stability, calling it "essential to end conflicts." "Lukashenko talks about peace, but Ukraine has seen what Belarusian neutrality means," observes NEXTA.

Zelenskyy's proposals

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has proposed the first stage of ending the war, which includes the release of prisoners and a ceasefire in the air and at sea, provided that Russia reciprocates these actions.

Zelensky stated his willingness to operate under Donald Trump's strong leadership and expressed readiness to sign a mineral agreement with the U.S. at any time and in any format.
