Lone wolf behind New Orleans attack, no Vegas ties found
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that the individual responsible for the terrorist attack in New Orleans acted alone. No links were found with the Tesla explosion near Donald Trump's hotel in Las Vegas.
Christopher Rai from the FBI reported that Shamsud-Din Jabbar, responsible for the attack in New Orleans, had no accomplices. Authorities are confident in their assessment based on interviews and analysis of the attacker's phone and computer data. Initial suspicions of potential accomplices proved to be incorrect.
During the investigation, two bombs placed by Jabbar in ice coolers were discovered. Both devices were safely detonated by officers. Authorities confirmed that Jabbar had posted videos online pledging allegiance to the Islamic State.
Media also reveal footage from surveillance cameras. They show a white vehicle speeding through the narrow streets of New Orleans.
No connections with the explosion in Las Vegas
The investigation into the Tesla explosion in Las Vegas showed no links to the attack in New Orleans.
According to the Associated Press, the driver of the car in Las Vegas, Senior Sergeant Matthew Alan Livelsberger, had no ideological motives. He was an active special forces soldier on leave in the US.
