"A luxury residential complex, Roza Rossa, is on fire in central Moscow. The blaze has engulfed the roof and upper floors of the building. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and information about any casualties is being clarified," reports the Belarusian independent portal Nexta. It also publishes recordings of the black smoke plumes over the city.

"According to eyewitness accounts, the roof of the residential complex caught fire. Rescuers promptly arrived at the scene," reports the Russian portal Readovka.

Journalists from the same portal estimate that the luxurious flat building burning in Moscow could be worth more than 3.5 billion roubles (approximately 32 million GBP). The average price of a flat in this building was about 130 million roubles (nearly 1.2 million GBP).

"All the apartments in the complex have been sold. The burning apartments were unoccupied, with renovation work underway," informs Readovka.
