Artem Kobzar, acting mayor of Sumy, explained that the target of the attack was an industrial facility; however, other buildings were also affected as a result of the strike.

"The attack targeted residential areas and infrastructure facilities, including children's hospitals," he said.

Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs, also published recordings from the site where the missiles landed.

According to Ukrinform, the fire that broke out in the flats of a five-storey building with a total area of 150 square metres, as well as in a private house with an area of 50 square metres, has already been extinguished.
