Multiple deaths as gunman targets café in Montenegro town
A tragic shooting occurred in Cetinje, southern Montenegro, where several people were killed and a few others injured. The perpetrator fled.
On Wednesday, a dramatic shooting took place in one of the local cafés in Cetinje, southern Montenegro. At least eight people, including two children, were killed in the attack, and several others were injured.
The condition of four injured individuals is very critical, reports RTCG television.
The perpetrator, a 45-year-old man, used a firearm before fleeing the scene. The police are conducting an intensive search, urging residents to stay indoors.

The Montenegrin police issued a statement emphasising that the incident is not related to organised crime groups. Special police units have been dispatched to the scene to assist in capturing the perpetrator.
According to information provided by public broadcaster RTCG, the Prime Minister of Montenegro has declared a three-day national mourning period.
This is yet another mass shooting in this town. On 12 August 2022, an armed assailant got into a domestic dispute, ran into the street, and began shooting at passersby. He killed 11 people, including two children, and injured six others.
The assailant was shot dead by an armed resident of Cetinje. It was the deadliest mass shooting in Montenegro's history.
