In a conversation with journalists before the Ukraine-U.S. meeting in Saudi Arabia, Marco Rubio assessed that the partial ceasefire plan in Ukraine "is promising."

I'm not saying that alone is enough, but it's the kind of concession you would need to see in order to end the conflict — said the U.S. Secretary of State.

Let us recall that, according to the Financial Times, Ukrainian authorities are ready to agree to a partial ceasefire with Russia in exchange for the resumption of intelligence data exchange and military aid from the U.S.

According to these reports, Kyiv plans to discuss such a scenario during negotiations with the U.S. delegation on 11 March in Saudi Arabia. The partial ceasefire would include the cessation of attacks using drones and long-range missiles and the halting of combat operations in the Black Sea.

Peace talks to start. Marco Rubio to meet with Andrij Sybiha

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha in Saudi Arabia. Ukraine announced these talks to express its desire to find a consensus and quickly restore peace.

"The agenda: Ukrainian-American bilateral relations, our strategic partnership and its further development. And, of course, the path to peace is at the centre of the conversation. Ukraine is constructive, ready and eager for peace like no other country in the world. And we want to restore peace quickly," declared the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously informed that no participation from Russia is planned in the scheduled talks.
