In a conversation with the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica," the former president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, expressed his stance on the territories occupied by Russia. He stressed that Ukraine cannot surrender them, and Vladimir Putin must engage in sincere negotiations.
Poroshenko noted that Kyiv's conditions should align with the Minsk agreements of 2014 and 2015. These include national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and maintaining Ukraine's defence capabilities. Additionally, the former president of Ukraine highlighted the need to sustain sanctions against Russia. In his view, they should remain until the agreements are fully implemented.
Poroshenko called for Ukraine, the European Union, and the United States to send Putin an unequivocal message: establish a 30-day ceasefire, initiate dialogue, and outline a concrete strategy to end the conflict.
He added that if this does not happen, a "Plan B" should be launched, which includes "unlimited military assistance."

Poroshenko did not divulge details about "Plan B," but he emphasised that its goal is to ensure unlimited military assistance to Ukraine.
