After visiting Wales with the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William recorded a video for St. David's Day. In this recording, the heir to the British throne speaks Welsh. The video was published on the official Instagram account he shares with his wife.

Hello. Today, on St David's Day, we come together to celebrate Wales — its history, its culture, and its incredible people. From its breathtaking landscapes to its language, Wales continues to inspire. Today, we will celebrate everything that is magical about Wales. To the people of Wales and everybody around the world, Happy St David's Day — says the prince in the aforementioned video.

As noted by "The Sun", in the recording, Prince William appears with a daffodil — the national flower of Wales. In the background, you can also see footage from his and Kate's visit to Pontypridd. The couple, usually reserved, was exceptionally affectionate towards each other this time.

Such a sight is rare

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge are typically quite reserved in showing affection during official visits or appearances. Hence, the recordings from their Welsh visit were all the more surprising for fans of the British royal family.

Prince William and his wife visited the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, and stopped by a local market where they spoke to market traders. They also baked traditional Welsh pastries together, clearly enjoying themselves.

William and Kate travelled to Pontypridd by train. A video shared on social media shows them holding hands and strolling through the railway station. Body language expert Judi James assessed the recordings from their visit to Wales. In her opinion, both displayed a strong "display of love."

In front of the cameras here they appear besotted and putting more effort into their flirting than into making those Welsh cakes — said James, as quoted by "The Sun".
