On Saturday, the last European cup final of the season took place. It was not an intensely dramatic event. Referee Istvan Kovacs did not add any injury time because it was unnecessary. Paris Saint-Germain triumphed 5-0 against Inter Milan. The French champions overwhelmed their opponents at the Munich stadium.

This marks the first time the club from Paris has won the Champions League. They had not achieved this previously, even with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe in their squad. They succeeded after rebuilding the team under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique.

Most Paris Saint-Germain fans celebrated the great success with decorum. Unfortunately, not all did so, leading to riots in the streets of Paris. An incident also occurred in Munich, necessitating repairs to the pitch at Bayern's stadium.

Thousands of PSG fans surged from the stands onto the pitch. They started taking parts of the turf as mementos. They also decided to take the net from the goal after the historic match.

The damage was quickly assessed, and it's known that the Parisian club will cover the costs. It's no significant financial burden for them, as Paris Saint-Germain earned 25 million euros just from their victory against Inter in the Champions League final. The total prize money for winning the European Cup can reach up to 100 million euros.

The pitch needed urgent replacement because an important match is scheduled in Munich this Wednesday. In this match, the German national team will face Portugal, with a place in the Nations League final at stake.
