Putin and Saudi crown prince discuss Ukraine ceasefire path
Vladimir Putin engaged in a telephone conversation with Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. On Tuesday, negotiations between the USA and Ukraine took place in Saudi Arabia, concluding with Kyiv accepting Washington's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire. The next move now rests with Moscow.
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, conversed with Vladimir Putin about efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, highlighting the intention to support "all initiatives" to facilitate dialogue, as reported by the official Saudi news agency SPA following the discussion.
"During the call, the two leaders discussed ongoing cooperation between their countries and ways to enhance it. They also discussed efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, with HRH the Crown Prince reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to facilitating dialogue and supporting all initiatives aimed at achieving a political resolution," the agency noted.

The statement also mentioned that the Russian leader thanked the Crown Prince for his "constructive efforts" in this regard.
It should be noted that the talks between the US and Ukrainian delegations took place in Saudi Arabia. During these negotiations, Ukraine agreed to a full ceasefire for a duration of 30 days after more than eight hours of closed-door discussions with US representatives.
Meanwhile, from Thursday, Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, has been in Moscow.
Journalists linked with the Kremlin reported that Vladimir Putin's working meetings concluded at 1:30 AM. It remains unclear whether the dictator met with Donald Trump's representative during this time.
