Vladimir Putin stated that 28,595 sanctions have been imposed against Russian companies and individuals.

- Sanctions are not a temporary, selective measure but a mechanism of systemic, strategic pressure on our country. Regardless of the circumstances and the international order, our competitors will always seek to restrain Russia and weaken its economic and technological potential - said Putin during the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. His remarks were reported by the Russian media on Tuesday.

The Russian leader also noted that some Western companies are interested in returning to the Russian market. In light of this, he conveyed that the Russian government has been tasked with developing a procedure to enable the return of foreign enterprises with a guarantee of fair business conduct.

However, Putin remarked that Western companies that have already been replaced by Russian entrepreneurs have missed their opportunity to return.
