Putin-Trump call delayed amidst ceasefire negotiations
The Kremlin has not yet set a date for a phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, Putin's advisor, Yuri Ushakov, informed. He added that he does not expect such a conversation to take place on Thursday.
President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he might speak with Putin this week. He added that he hopes a permanent ceasefire will be negotiated in the coming days.
Let us recall that on Tuesday, the Ukrainian side in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, agreed to the American proposal for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, and the United States announced the resumption of halted military aid to the country.
"Many questions"
U.S. representatives also announced that they would bring the ceasefire agreement proposal to Moscow. On Thursday, the U.S. President's advisor Steve Witkoff arrived in the Russian capital.
