Putin's champagne moment: Western divisions after Trump speech

- Putin and Lavrov are sitting and drinking champagne, watching what is happening. It occurred without their involvement, yet managed to divide the Western world - commented General Roman Polko.

- We must be aware that any actions that limit aid to Ukraine equate to the death of many innocent people - said General Roman Polko on Radio Piekary.

He emphasised that Ukraine has the right to feel somewhat deceived, because the aid that reached Ukraine was always delayed, as if Europe and the world did not realise that defence against Putin's imperial ambitions is essentially the defence of Europe and the world against autocratic rule.

Gen. Polko: To prevent the Russians from crossing the Dnieper Line

He added that he fears Trump's negotiations with Putin. - Putin was in oblivion, he was isolated. Suddenly President Trump offered him a hand. Putin essentially went all-in. Bombardments and attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine are conducted daily - the general said.

- It is in Poland's strategic interest that Russian forces never cross the Dnieper line - he emphasised.

General Polko assessed that what President Trump proposed to him, which is the cessation of operations and halting the current front line, while lacking any guarantees of peace, is giving Putin time to regroup his forces, re-equip them, and to resume aggression.
