Putin's military ambitions could extend beyond Ukraine, insiders claim
The situation escalated significantly in Ukraine starting on 24 February 2022, leaving Europe on heightened alert. The focus has been particularly intense on Kyiv, which was subjected to heavy attacks. The unfolding events aim to clarify the extent of Russia's ambitions regarding territories formerly part of the Warsaw Pact.
Putin targets nine countries
While the fervour around Russian threats may have diminished compared to two years ago, the concern has not vanished entirely. This anxiety is largely fueled by speculative reports from Russian telegram channels outlining potential aggressive strategies. Notably, a publication on the General SVR account hinted at forthcoming Russian military initiatives.
It's crucial to approach these claims with scepticism, especially considering the dubious track record of the channel's author, who purports to be an ex-intelligence operative. Among its more sensationalist reports was the alleged death of Vladimir Putin, supposedly replaced by a double orchestrated by the FSB.
