The White House has officially announced plans to hold a parade as an early event in the year-long commemoration of the nation's 250th anniversary. According to White House Director of the Domestic Policy Council Vince Haley, the parade is intended to honor the dedication and sacrifices of military personnel who have served and died defending the United States, which is celebrated as a historic example of the pursuit of freedom.
The US Army's anniversary coincides with the 79th birthday of President Donald Trump, which falls on 14th June.
The parade is set to include active-duty soldiers, reenactors, equipment, and other elements from the Revolutionary War, Civil War, Spanish-American War, both World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the global War on Terror.

Trump has succeeded. There will be a grand parade
During his first term, Trump expressed a desire to organise a military parade, inspired by the parade he attended during the French national holiday in Paris on 14th July.
At that time, these plans were cancelled due to criticism regarding the costs. The current parade is to be part of the year-long celebrations of the 250th anniversary of US independence.
