Prince William and Princess Kate, who met in 2001 at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, will commemorate their anniversary with a visit to the Isle of Mull on Scotland's west coast. Next week, they will spend two days there focusing on promoting environmental conservation.

During their stay, they will visit the town of Tobermory, famous for the popular BBC children's series "Balamory." The Royal Foundation will announce a new community project aimed at supporting local initiatives and providing residents with spaces for social gatherings and activities.

William and Kate will meet with the local community, including foresters and Hebridean sheep breeders. They will also visit a community centre in the town and a producers' market in Tobermory harbour, where they will sample local products and meet artisans from the area.

Prince William has a special connection with the Isle of Mull, part of the former lands of the Lord of the Isles — one of the Scottish titles he inherited from his father when Charles became king. In Scotland, the couple is known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay.

During their visit, they will also tour a farm and restaurant on the west coast, where they will learn about sheep farming on an area of around 50 acres and help harvest vegetables for the menu. Lastly, they will meet with foresters from the Mull and Iona Ranger Service in Ardura Community Forest, join pupils during outdoor activities, and visit the Ardura Acorns playgroup for the youngest children.

The visit aims to underscore the importance of conserving and promoting the natural environment. It's worth remembering that William and Kate met during their studies — she studied art history, while he initially enrolled in art history before switching to geography. They were married on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in a grand ceremony.
