Russia launches massive drone offensive on Ukraine
Since Thursday evening, Russia has been conducting extensive attacks on Ukraine, having already deployed 214 drones. This represents one of the largest offensives in terms of the number of unmanned aerial vehicles used by the Russians during the conflict. The majority of the drones failed to reach their intended targets.

The Russian military carried out one of the largest drone assaults on Ukraine, employing 214 unmanned aerial vehicles. The Ukrainian Air Force stated that the majority of these drones failed to hit their targets.
114 Shahed drones and other varieties were shot down in the southern, northern, and central parts of the country. Furthermore, 81 drones lost communication, causing no adverse effects.
Russia's attack on Ukraine: infrastructure targets
In the battle against the drones, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and mobile units equipped with anti-aircraft guns and heavy machine guns were engaged.
Thanks to these efforts, the impact of the attack was minimised, although some infrastructure facilities in the Odessa, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, and Kyiv regions were affected.
Record-breaking attacks by Russia on Ukraine
The most significant attack this year, in terms of the number of drones, occurred on 23 February, when the Russians launched 267 unmanned aerial vehicles. Another substantial attack happened on 25 February, involving 213 drones targeting Ukraine.
