Russian drone assault claims lives in Dnipropetrovsk region

The Russians attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region in Ukraine with drones, resulting in the tragic deaths of three people, including a child, and injuring eight others. It's noteworthy that following the recent large-scale attacks, Donald Trump has called for an end to the shelling.

Details of the attack

According to Serhiy Lysak, head of the regional military authorities, three people died in Pavlohrad, including a child.

One of the Russian drones struck a multi-storey residential building. Rescue operations are ongoing, with the attack causing fires in two districts of the city.

Actions taken by Ukrainian forces

The Ukrainian Air Force successfully destroyed 11 Russian drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region.

During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the Russian military deployed 103 drones of various types, including decoy drones. Among these, 41 Shahed attack drones were shot down in the east, north, and centre of the country.

Other regions, such as Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Donetsk, also suffered from the Russian assault. Moreover, 40 unmanned aerial vehicles were neutralised using electronic warfare measures.

Trump addressed Putin: "Stop!"

During the night between Wednesday and Thursday, the Russians launched a massive and combined attack on Ukraine. In Kyiv alone, 12 people died, and over 87 were injured.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the recent attack on the capital was the deadliest since July 2024, when 34 people lost their lives, including children in the Okhmatdyt hospital.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump commented on the brutal Russian offensive. "I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Let’s get the Peace Deal DONE!" he wrote on the Truth Social platform.
