Russian drone attack claims three lives in Kyiv, including child

Three people, including a five-year-old child and his father, died overnight from Saturday to Sunday due to a massive Russian drone attack on Kyiv, the city's military administration reported. Earlier, there were reports of two fatalities.

Currently, we know that "three people have died, including a five-year-old child. Another ten were injured. Among the deceased are a father and his young daughter. The youngest injured person is only 11 months old. We extend our condolences to the families and friends of the victims. We wish the injured a speedy recovery," reads a statement from the authorities of Ukraine's capital, published on Telegram.

Russian drones attacked six districts of Kyiv. In these parts of the city, debris from downed machines also fell.

"A powerful enemy drone attack on Kyiv," previously reported the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, on Telegram. "Rescue services have been dispatched to several districts of the city where fires were reported," he added.

Russia intensifies attacks

Since Thursday evening, Russia has been conducting massive attacks on Ukraine. It has already used 214 drones. This is one of the largest attacks in terms of the number of drones used by the Russians in the war. Most of the drones did not reach their target.

114 Shahed-type drones were shot down in the south, north, and central parts of the country. Additionally, 81 drones lost communication, which did not cause negative consequences.
