Russian drone barrage: Heavy losses as Ukrainian defence stands strong
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, Ukrainian air defence successfully intercepted 73 out of 119 Russian drones attacking Ukraine.

"The enemy launched 119 Shahed strike unmanned aerial vehicles and various types of decoy drones from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in the Russian Federation, and (Cape) Chauda in Russian-occupied Crimea," reported the Air Force on Telegram.
Consequences of attacks in the Kherson and Donetsk regions
As a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson and Donetsk regions, four people lost their lives, and 29 were injured.
Roman Mroczko, head of the Kherson military administration, reported that two people were killed and six were injured in night attacks on the Kherson region.
The situation was equally dire in the Donetsk region. The region's head, Vadym Filashkin, stated that due to the Russian Federation's aggression, two civilians were killed and 23 were injured.
Drone shootdowns and defensive actions
In 12 regions of Ukraine, the shooting down of 73 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Shahed type and others was confirmed. Additionally, 37 Russian drones were neutralised with the use of electronic warfare measures. The attacks affected the regions of the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.
