The death toll from the Russian assault on the city of Marganets has escalated to nine. Earlier reports mentioned seven fatalities.
"The enemy attack has claimed nine lives. My condolences to the families and friends. The number of casualties is constantly growing," wrote Serhiy Lysak, head of the regional military authorities, on Telegram.
"People were going to work. Russian strikes on Ukrainian civilians do not stop," added Anton Gerashchenko, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Kamikaze drone struck a bus: People on their way to work
Following this attack, there are numerous wounded, and the figure is increasing.
"As of now, 30 people are known to have been injured," added Lysak.
Local authorities are in the process of gathering information about the victims. More photos from the site of the attack are appearing online.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the bus was hit by a Russian FPV drone.
