Sinead O'Connor, the Irish artist, died on 26 July 2023, in London. She was 56 years old. Her death occurred eighteen months after the loss of one of her sons. Recently, the British media, including "The Sun," obtained her will. The document reveals that Sinead's estate, valued at over a million pounds, was left to her four children: Shane, Roisin, Yeshua, and Jake.

Sinead O'Connor's will also details various mementos. Her mother’s religious relics were intended for her late son Shane, and her collection of guitars for her youngest child, Yeshua. The executor of the will was her first husband, music producer John Reynolds. The artist's children are also to decide on the scattering of her ashes.

In the last months of her life, Sinead O'Connor struggled with grief after losing her son. Shane, Sinead's son, went missing at the beginning of January, and his body was found a few days later. The boy had previously been in Tallaght Hospital in Dublin for mental health issues. Sinead blamed the facility for her son's death, claiming that their care responsibilities were not fulfilled. Shane left a farewell letter describing how he wanted his funeral to be.

The singer posted disturbing messages on the platform X following her son's death, sparking speculation about her own wellbeing. British authorities revealed that her death resulted from natural causes linked to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma. In 2018, Sinead O'Connor converted to Islam, changing her name to Shuhada Sadaqat. In her will, she expressed her wish for her albums to be released posthumously for the benefit of her children. The executor of the will was her former husband, John Reynolds. The artist desired to be dressed in a tunic and buried with a Hebrew Bible on the day of her funeral.
