Sussex saga: Meghan's mixed Netflix debut and Oscar upsets

Meghan Markle, or rather Sussex, is frequently criticised in the media. Her new show on Netflix was intended to address this. However, the plethora of peculiar scenes does little to improve her image.

In Netflix's new lifestyle programme, Meghan, who identifies herself as Sussex, expresses her preference to be addressed by this surname. This is one of the few instances where she presents something new to the audience. After initial setbacks with its release (postponed due to the fires in Los Angeles), "With Love, Meghan" became available on Netflix from 4th March, quickly achieving substantial popularity. Regrettably, it's challenging to claim that the quality of Meghan’s content is exceptional. Even her staunch defenders find it difficult to present strong arguments.

In her show, Meghan demonstrates how to make sandwiches for children (by spreading cream cheese on bread), and shares recipes for pasta with tomatoes and pancakes. Online satirical comments and critical reviews emerged swiftly on popular portals. Surprisingly, Meghan seems to be distancing herself from her previous endeavours as a duchess, where she was earnestly involved in charitable activities and social projects.

She supported the victims of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire in London through participation in meetings, communal cooking, and the publication of a cookbook, the proceeds of which benefitted the affected families. Now, Meghan is promoting pancake mixes and homemade jams.
