The fast pace of life means that many of us skip breakfast - a significant mistake. Scientists stress that having breakfast regularly at a consistent time is vital for health and efficiency throughout the day.

Breakfast provides the essential energy needed for the proper functioning of the body all day long. Without it, our brains work more slowly, affecting concentration, which is vital at work, when learning new things, or when driving.

Research on the effects of skipping breakfast

Research conducted by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York indicates that skipping breakfast can negatively affect human health. American scientists have found that this habit not only lowers the body's immunity but also increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases in the future.

What time should we eat breakfast?

A team of researchers from NutriNet-Santé analysed data from 103,000 people to assess the impact of breakfast timing on health. The results suggest that the timing of the first meal is related to the aforementioned risk of cardiovascular diseases. So, when should we eat breakfast? It is recommended to do so between 6:00 and 8:00 in the morning. Eating later may increase the risk of heart problems.
