Carrots are a basic ingredient that is easy to find in the kitchen. They have many health benefits: they support digestion, help fight constipation, assist in managing weight, and remove harmful toxins from the body. Nevertheless, many people are reluctant to add them to their meals. However, an interesting recipe suggests that adding two basic ingredients while cooking carrots can instantly transform them into a delicious dinner.

The secret of flavour: brown sugar and butter

Adding brown sugar and butter will make everyone love carrots. Stewing carrots with these two unassuming ingredients will completely change their taste.

This dish has also gained recognition from social media users who have tried the new ingredients. One user wrote: "I made this for my toddler with an addition of protein, and he loves it!" Another person commented: "Delicious! I've been looking for cooked carrots like my mum used to make, which are very close and very good. I'm done searching. Thank you for the recipe. So good!" Another person added: "So easy to make. A great addition to my roasted chicken."

How to prepare the carrots?

To prepare this dish, cook the carrots in a large pot until they are soft, about 8 to 10 minutes. Then drain them, leaving just enough water to cover the bottom of the pot, and set the carrots aside. In the pot, mix brown sugar and butter and heat over low heat until the butter melts. Return the carrots to the pot and stir to coat them with the sauce. Cover and set aside for a few minutes to allow the flavours to meld.
