Trump denounces Russian attack on Kyiv, calls for peace

During the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the Russians launched a massive and coordinated attack.

In Kyiv alone, nine people were killed and over 70 were injured.

On Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the brutal attack by the Russians. "I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Lets get the Peace Deal DONE!" he wrote on the Truth Social platform.

During the Russian attack, a wide array of weapons was used: 11 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, 37 Ch-101 cruise missiles launched from Tu-95MS bombers, six Iskander-K missiles, 12 Kalibr missiles, four guided Ch-59/Ch-69 missiles from tactical aircraft, and 145 Shahed strike drones of various types.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported they managed to shoot down a total of 112 aerial targets, including seven Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, 31 Ch-101 cruise missiles, six Kalibrs, four Ch-59/Ch-69 missiles, and 64 Shahed drones. Additionally, 68 drones were neutralised using electronic warfare systems.
