Trump urges peace as conflicts intensify across Europe

Trump calls for end to war

Donald Trump called on Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky to end the conflict in Ukraine, proposing a 30-day ceasefire. The US President emphasised that his appeal is directed at both sides of the conflict. Trump plans a trip to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, where he intends to continue peace talks.

Iran transfers launchers to Russia

Iran plans to transfer Fath-360 ballistic missile launchers to Russia, which may be used in the conflict with Ukraine. This is another step in strengthening military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow. These launchers have a range of up to 120 kilometres, which would allow Russia to conduct operational strikes on Ukrainian positions.

North Korea defends its involvement

Kim Jong Un stated that North Korea's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine was justified. According to the dictator, it’s a sovereign right of the Republic and a defence of the brotherly nation. Pyongyang sent over 10,000 soldiers to Russia.

Leaders' meeting in Poland

On Friday evening in Poland, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz met. The meeting preceded the "coalition of the willing" summit planned for Saturday in Kyiv.

Guatemala transfers long-sought drug dealer to USA

On Friday, Guatemalan police services handed over to the American justice system Aler Baldomero Samayoa Recinos, alias "Chicharra," who had been sought for years. The leader of the Guatemalan gang Los Huistas was transported by plane to the USA in the afternoon.

Victory Day parades march through Belgrade and Banja Luka streets

Celebratory parades commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany during World War II marched on Friday through the streets of Serbian Belgrade and Bosnian Banja Luka. Leading the column in the Serbian capital were members of the country's government and Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Bocan-Charczenko.
