Trump's constitutional uncertainty sparks leadership buzz

In an interview with NBC News, Donald Trump stated that he is uncertain whether he will adhere to the constitution concerning the immigration issue. The President announced that he will not pursue a third term, and his successor could potentially be J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio.

During the television interview, which will be aired by NBC News, Trump expressed his stance on immigration, stating that he will continue deporting immigrants from the country. - I was elected to get them the hell out of here and the courts are holding me from doing it,- the President stated. He added that he cannot imagine the courts having to resolve "millions of cases" concerning immigrants.

When asked if he is still obligated to comply with the constitution in this situation, he said he does not know, and added that "he has brilliant lawyers who, of course, will conform to the Supreme Court’s opinion".

Plans regarding Greenland and Canada

The US President did not rule out using force to take over Greenland, although he considered it "highly unlikely" in the case of Canada. Trump suggested that Canada could become the 51st state of the USA, which would be "a state that we would love very much".

Trump's successor

Trump assured that he is not thinking about another term, but pointed to J.D. Vance as a potential presidential candidate. - J.D. is doing a fantastic job - he said. He also mentioned Marco Rubio, whom he described as "wonderful".

"The Washington Post" notes that Rubio's ratings in the President's entourage have increased, and his role as a "key liaison" with the President is becoming more significant.

At the end of the interview, Trump dismissed suggestions that he is steering the country towards authoritarian rule, emphasising: - Many people love Trump. I won the election.
