Trump's economic and immigration policies face growing dissent
The latest research indicates a decline in support for Donald Trump in the USA. Many Americans are dissatisfied with his economic and immigration policies.
In April, the company Atlas Intel carried out a survey revealing a decline in support for U.S. President Donald Trump. The study, reported by "Newsweek," was conducted from 10th to 14th April on a sample of 2,347 adult Americans. The results indicate that 52 percent of respondents disapprove of Trump's actions since he took office, and 56 percent feel he is performing poorly with regards to the economy.
Trump loses support in polls. The president feels the impact of economic policy criticisms
One principal reason for the decline in support is Trump's trade policy, involving tariffs imposed on numerous countries. A substantial 51 percent of Americans oppose these actions, while only 23 percent are in favour.
Compared to March, when 48 percent of respondents were critical of his economic policy, the dissatisfaction has now increased to 56 percent. This segment of respondents feels that Trump is doing a "terrible/very poor" job with the economy.
The matter of immigration has also played a role in the waning support for Trump. In April, his immigration policy had a negative support rating of minus six points, which marks a change from March when it was positive. Nonetheless, as highlighted by Andrei Roman, CEO of Atlas Intel, immigration still remains the highest-rated area of Trump's policy, although it is currently slightly under par.
