Retired General Keith Kellogg, President Trump's special envoy on Ukraine and Russia, stated that the USA plans to exert pressure on both countries to achieve a ceasefire, which, according to Kellogg, may take several months.

In a conversation with Fox News, Kellogg expressed optimism about concluding the conflict in Ukraine. He emphasised that the White House has a solid negotiation plan.

As General Kellogg indicates, this process is expected to include both pressure and incentives for both sides of the conflict. The general assessed that the current sanctions on Russia are not being enforced sufficiently.

President Trump confirmed that talks with Russia are already underway and that more are planned. During the ceremony to confirm Doug Burgum as Secretary of the Interior, Trump stated that the United States is striving to end the war.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov expressed Russia's readiness for dialogue. While Washington confirms its readiness to engage in peace talks, there have been no official moves or concrete solutions.
