Donald Trump's golf course in Turnberry, Scotland, fell victim to vandalism. As "The Sun" indicates, photographs show vulgar graffiti and offensive slogans aimed at the US president, painted in red. The clubhouse building and several holes on the course were damaged by the pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action.

The grass bore the slogan "Gaza is not for sale." Additionally, holes were dug in several places. All this occurred in the context of Trump's plans to transform Gaza into the "Riviera of the Middle East."

In one of his statements, Donald Trump envisions Gaza as a luxury tourist resort, where residents and tourists could enjoy prosperous lives instead of struggling with poverty and conflict with Israel. "The Sun" points out that in the past, Trump even shared computer-generated images of his controversial plans for the region.

A video depicting his vision shows how bomb-devastated Gaza could be rebuilt as a shiny resort. Trump described the area as a "big real estate site" and suggested it could become the "Riviera of the Middle East" under US control.

Reactions to the plans

Trump's plan involves relocating two million Palestinians from Gaza to neighbouring Arab countries, such as Egypt and Jordan, and rebuilding the region. Trump emphasised that the United States does not intend to invest money or send troops to this area.

As a result of Israeli bombings, many areas of Gaza were levelled, in response to the Hamas attacks on 7th October. Trump has long been interested in the Middle East and during his first presidency proposed a plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
