Rubio emphasised that the U.S. monitors Russia closely and will not be interested in further negotiations if Russia employs delaying tactics. "If you’re interested in peace, you stop fighting and you lay out the conditions by which you’re willing to end the war, and they have to be reasonable conditions," Rubio stated. He added that if Russia initiates a new offensive, it will signal a lack of interest in peace.
Rubio stressed that the U.S. wants to determine whether Russia is genuinely seeking peace.
