The Ukrainian armed forces attacked the Chanskaya airbase, located in southern Russia, in Adygea, near the city of Maykop. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Su-34 and Su-27 bombers were stationed at the airfield.

Earlier reports mentioned the destruction of a fuel depot at the same location. "Yesterday evening, the Chanskaya airfield in the Russian Republic of Adygea was shelled. In particular, an ammunition depot located on the military facility was hit. Enemy anti-aircraft defence activity was observed in the target area, and a fire was reported," said the staff in a communiqué.
