One Big Beautiful Bill dispute

The dispute between two men concerns proposed by Trump "One Big Beautiful Bill." As it was reported, the controversial plan, supported by Donald Trump and unveiled by House Republicans, aims to eliminate billions in subsidies currently allocated to electric vehicles, solar power, and other green technologies.

Elon Musk has been an open opponent of the act, stating on X platform: "This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination." Later, he argued "It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) [£1.85 trillion] and burden America citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt."

President Trump responded, criticising Musk for creating expenses for American taxpayers. "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts," he wrote on Truth Social. He also declared in the Oval Office on Thursday that he was "very disappointed" with Musk, admitting that Musk and he "had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore."
