Green Power Ranger star gets 45 days for assaulting elderly man

Hector David Rivera, an actor famous for his role as the Green Power Ranger, has been sentenced to 45 days in prison for assaulting an elderly man. The incident took place in July 2024 in Nampa, Idaho. Rivera admitted to the assault, which was captured on camera.
The sentencing and terms of the ruling
Initially, the court sentenced Rivera to 180 days in prison, but Judge Matthew B. Schelstrate suspended 135. The actor must also serve two years of probation and complete 100 hours of community service.
The incident occurred in the car park of a block of flats, where Rivera attacked the elderly man. The altercation reportedly began due to a dispute over a parking space; Rivera had parked in a disabled spot, and the man pointed out that it was illegal.
The Nampa police released footage of the incident, which swiftly led to the identification of the offender. "Our community supports us in pursuing criminals," said Officer Erick Moore.
Thirty-five-year-old Hector David began his career in the entertainment industry with a minor role in the film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. He has also been involved in a few less prestigious productions. Between 2011 and 2015, he appeared in the Power Rangers series. Recently, he landed a role in Father of the Bride, a Max production with Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan, as well as in the Netflix Christmas film Holiday Gentlemen.
