Hungary's Orban stirs conversation with luxury India vacation
Local media revealed that the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, is on holiday in India. Information about his trip appeared on the HVG.hu website.
The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, along with his family, embarked on a several-week holiday to India, which was not officially announced beforehand. News of his trip was initially reported in the local Indian press before reaching Hungary, as documented by the HVG.hu service.

According to reports, Orban visited the tourist state of Kerala, accompanied by businessman Krishnachumar, who operates an Ayurvedic healing centre in Hungary. The Prime Minister reportedly visited local attractions such as the Mattancherry Palace and the Santa Cruz Basilica.
Indian media stated that Orban travelled in a convoy of tuk-tuks that underwent strict verification. Driver Hussain Siddiqui, who had the opportunity to transport the Prime Minister, admitted that he made him laugh by suggesting he "get in the Ferrari", as reported by local media.
Orban stayed at the five-star Fragrant Nature Hotel, noted by Hungarian MEP Akos Hadhazy. The cost of a night's stay at the hotel starts at £220 (editor's note). Hadhazy questioned who is covering the cost of the bodyguards' accommodation and what the Prime Minister is doing in a luxury hotel during a crisis.
