North Korea's bold stance: Escalating tensions with US allies
Kim Jong Un has announced that North Korea has adopted the "toughest strategy" against the United States, South Korea, and Japan, according to the state's television network, KCNA, on Sunday.
Kim Jong Un revealed the "change" in relations with Washington, Tokyo, and Seoul during a plenary session of the central committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
"This reality clearly shows to which direction we should advance and what we should do and how," stated Kim Jong Un's directive, as quoted by KCNA television. However, the details of the new strategy were not disclosed.
KCNA, in a deceitful, propagandistic message, reported that the trilateral alliance between South Korea, the USA, and Japan has transformed into a "nuclear military bloc," and South Korea has become an "anti-communist outpost" of the USA.
Pyongyang aims to develop cooperation with Moscow
During the meeting, which took place from 23rd to 27th December, the North Korean communist party authorities also pledged to strengthen relations with "friendly" countries.
In the past year, North Korea signed a military agreement with Russia, including a mutual defence commitment.
Washington and Seoul have criticised the military cooperation between the two countries, including the deployment of North Korean troops to fight alongside Russia in the war with Ukraine.
