The air forces would be stationed in Poland and Romania, according to the report.

The meeting also reportedly decided to begin talks aimed "to hammer out the detailed military plans underpinning an Anglo-French-led peacekeeping force." This process is intended to intensify preparations for a potential ceasefire in Ukraine.

The United Kingdom prepares for an agreement between Ukraine and Russia

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the "timetable" for a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine is now "coming into focus," Bloomberg indicates.

According to the most likely plan, British and French peacekeeping forces will be deployed in major cities, ports, and critical infrastructure in Ukraine. Patrol vessels and minehunters are expected to be stationed in the Black Sea, the agency notes.

"(Our) plans are focusing on keeping the sky safe, the sea safe and the border safe and secure in Ukraine, and working with the Ukrainians. We're working at pace because we don't know if there'll be a deal. I certainly hope there will be, but if there's a deal, it's really important that we're able to react straight away," he emphasized.

The agency reports that about 30 countries have offered their forces, most of which are European nations. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan also participated in the discussions.
