In Moscow, the deputy chief designer of the Mars Design Bureau, Mikhail Shatsky, who was involved in modernizing cruise missiles used in attacks on Ukraine, was murdered. This information was reported by Ukrainian media, citing sources in the Ukrainian army. According to reports, the Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) is behind the assassination.

The first reports of Shatsky's death were provided by Russian opposition journalist Aleksandr Nevzorov, who is currently in Ukraine. Nevzorov wrote on Telegram that "none of those guilty of the genocide of Ukrainians will die a natural death."

The journalist added that HUR forces eliminated a "particularly dangerous criminal" in Moscow. Shatsky was involved in upgrading Kh-59 cruise missiles to the Kh-69 level and was responsible for new drones. According to Nevzorov, he is responsible for the death of thousands of innocent Ukrainians.

The RBK-Ukraine portal confirmed this information, citing sources in the Ukrainian army. The service emphasized that the operation is backed by HUR military intelligence. The state news agency Ukrinform also reported Shatsky's death.

Russia is enhancing its drone capabilities. It launched over 6,000 missiles at Ukraine in the fall of 2024. The shelling is more intense than last year. Russians already have their own production line in Tatarstan, producing designs similar to Iranian Shaheds.
