A few days ago, Barack Obama gave an interview in which he revealed a glimpse into his more than 30-year marriage. More than 8 years ago, the second and final term of Barack Obama as the President of the United States came to a close. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate is now focusing on the initiatives promoted by the Obama Foundation, whose mission is to build an active democratic culture. Despite his political retirement, he actively comments on current political events, often criticizing his successor, Donald Trump's administration.

The 63-year-old American was present at Hamilton College in New York two days ago. During the meeting with students, he revealed some behind-the-scenes aspects of his presidency, discussing not only the enormous challenges associated with this highly responsible role but also surprisingly mentioning that the period of his leadership, from 2009 to 2017, was the time of his greatest marital crisis.

Barack and Michelle Obama overcame a difficult time

The 44th President of the United States previously emphasized that moving out of the White House positively impacted his relationship with his wife. He expressed appreciation for Michelle Obama for her patience and "forgiving" his shortcomings. She herself did not shy away from making honest remarks in the media about their relationship, noting that "marriage isn’t 50/50 — ever, ever."

Barack Obama, who has recently been rumoured to be having an affair with... Jennifer Aniston, addressed the ever-present rumours of divorce and prioritizing work life over private life in his latest conversation. At the same time, he revealed his tried-and-true recipe for warming up the relationship with his beloved.

I was in a deep deficit with my wife. So I have been trying to dig myself out of that hole by doing occasionally fun things, he revealed during Thursday’s panel discussion.

The former presidential couple will celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary in October. Together, they have raised two now adult daughters – 27-year-old Malia and Natasha, born 3 years later.
