U.S. President Joe Biden expressed outrage over what he called the "outrageous attack" by Russia on Ukraine that took place on Christmas Day.

"The purpose of this outrageous attack was to cut off the Ukrainian people’s access to heat and electricity during winter and to jeopardize the safety of its grid," the president stated in a release.

Biden also announced that he had instructed the U.S. Department of Defense to continue the enhanced supply of weapons to Ukraine.
