"Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support," Joe Biden wrote on X. He included a photo with his wife Jill and their cat in the post.

Biden’s serious illness

On Sunday, it was reported that Joe Biden has prostate cancer.

"While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management," Biden's spokesperson said in a released statement.

The diagnosis was made after Mr. Biden reported urinary symptoms. Tests also showed bone metastasis, it was conveyed.

Biden and his family "are reviewing treatment options with his physicians," it was stated.

Trump: Wish you a speedy recovery

The matter was discussed on social media by Biden's former rival and the current U.S. President, Donald Trump.

"Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery," he wrote.
